Let me be your motivational poster!

Motivational posters! Everyone knows them, two people love them. They’re there to pick us up when we’re down, to remind us what’s important, and to breed countless repetitive Facebook status updates!

Motivational posters are shortcuts to happiness, which makes them exactly like my blog.

This is why today I’m entering the lucrative motivational poster industry. I believe your favourite classic posters can be tweaked to send a better, sharper, more contemporary message. I am here to deliver!

Armed with the powers of the “Motivational Poster Maker” and some original motivational posters from AllPosters.com I set out to change the world once again. Below you find the fruits of this dedicated labour, presented along with the puny originals.

Please note that all original posters and pictures are from AllPosters.com and I claim no rights to any of them. Don’t sue me, jail is a scary place full of clowns (or so I hear)!

Something tells me I may have misunderstood the “motivational” part of these motivational posters…

What do YOU do to stay motivated? Have you found inspiration in any of the above? Please tell me you haven’t! Do you have motivational posters on your wall? Are you planning on suing me?

  1. You know what I’d love to see? You actually selling these things! Have you tried yet? I bet you’d make a few bucks. There’s always someone deranged enough to want something like that. E-bay is a good starting point. Try ‘Courage’ first.

  2. Thanks for my morning belly laugh – now I’m truly motivated! Which is a good thing, because I don’t have any other motivational posters. If I was the type of person who could get motivated just by looking at a few words on a piece of paper, I’d… oh… wait a minute, I’m an author. Um… never mind…

  3. I don’t have motivational posters on my wall. The only motivational snippet I have is a ripped out quote from a magazine article where Steve Jobs is talking about doing what you love. It’s on my fridge, coincidentally held in place by my Copenhagen magnet. It really is; I’m staring at it right now. That’s kind of weird, don’t you think?
